Lessons In Life

In the last few days I have learned several things that I would like to share with you.  Please consider the following musings:

1) If you fall asleep with a pacifier in your mouth and it falls out, it will most certainly get stuck to your lip.

2) Middle schoolers are funny.  A quick observation was made.  On the last day of school (by the way, did I mention I'm off work until August?  Hip-hip-hooray!) I spent the majority of the day chaperoning 7th and 8th graders at the pool.  Let's just put it this way, there are always the good looking girls.  And for every one, there are ten boys that will follow her around.  This one poor girl sat on the side of the pool with no less than ten boys fighting for her attention.  She got up, moved down about 15 feet, and like a flock of geese they followed.  I mean, it could not have been anymore obvious.  And they could not fight any harder to get her attention.

Oh middle schoolers, how I love you.  How you make life so enjoyable for me.  You try my patience, you push my buttons, but you are awesome, no matter how charged up on hormones you are.

3)  When chaperoning middle schoolers all day at the pool, make sure you apply sunscreen to your ENTIRE arm.

4) Babies are good to snuggle with.

5) My son enjoys defying gravity.

6) He also enjoys pulling bulldog ears.  And maybe taking a bite out of them.

7) I'm blessed.
