There Goes That Plan!

It's been a week and I have not been good about posting.  There has been so much going on!  Mom turned 50 (I know folks, it's not right to look as good as she does at 50), Cooper got an ear infection, and cats and dogs were rained upon us.  The washer decided to break on us and I had (and still have) massive piles of grading and a final that had to be written.  But I now have some time to get a post in.  And a picture of Cooper you ask?  Well of course!

We received some very exciting new last week.  For those of you who don't know, I've been a traveling teacher this year.  I teach one period at Bloomington High School South and then I teach the rest of the day at Tri-North Middle School, where I have been teaching for 3 years.  As of Monday, it looks like I will be back in my position full-time at Tri-North.  I couldn't be more thrilled.  Don't get me wrong.  I LOVE my students at South.  I love teaching Accounting.  But Tri-North is my home.  I've made some wonderful friends here and I just love the middle school students in general.  Plus, not having the stress of traveling between schools will be wonderful.  What wonderful news it was!

Cooper is over his ear infection, but we have now moved on to bronchiolitis.  We took him to the pediatrician on Monday and he was prescribed an inhaler.  At first thought I was like, "No way.  He didn't take an oral antibiotic well.  You will not make me give him an inhaler."  However, it's very easy and he doesn't mind it!  No sooner than we gave the first dose to him you could actually tell it was working.  No more wheezing!  I would say his cough hurts us worse than it hurts him.  If anything, this day care sure is going to get his immunity built up!

I have to laugh because someone else in this house is trying to take over the position of Mommy.  My Lola Bug.  As to try to keep the drainage under control, we keep Cooper in his swing at night.  Just one little peep out of him and Lola is up and laying by the swing.  I love how protective she is of him.

Feeding Cooper solid food has been, well, interesting.  We're definitely making some progress.  I think he still ends up with more on him than in him, but he is getting better.  I laugh at some of the faces that he makes when the spoon is coming to his mouth.

Below is a picture of Cooper and his Great Grandpa Herman a day after his 94th birthday.  Also, there are a couple of pictures of Cooper eating his yummy rice cereal.  Enjoy!
