My second new love. These slow cooker covers that have been sitting in my cabinet drawer for months but I always forget about. I love using my slow cooker during the week but I hate cleaning up the bowl after using it. We've all made slow cooker meals before and know that the mess in a slow cooker is just about the worst. Especially if you're making something that can really get crusted on. You soak it, wash it, see the crust is still on there, scrub it with steel wool, put unsightly black scratches on it, and then realize that maybe the crust was better than looking at those ugly black scratches. But now there is a solution. These wonderful slow cooker covers.
Before starting you put them over the bowl...
Then put in what you're cooking. For me, it's ribs.
Cover and cook.
When you're done, you have a wonderfully cooked meal with relatively little mess. I'm telling you, it's wonderful.
By the way, look at my two handsome boys before church today. Do you get any more handsome than this?
Seriously, don't even get me started on all the wonderful things they were saying about Cooper after services. Seriously. I would hate to be a gloating Mom.
