So yesterday I went to pick him up and we went through our routine. I get him in the car, take him home, get him out of the car seat and just...sit. After a long day of work there's nothing better than kicking back and sitting with my baby. But yesterday, something special happened. I put my finger in his mouth to check that tooth that came in last week and I found something unspeakable.
Another tooth.
Right next to the first one.
And there went another piece of my heart breaking right off.
Because that means he's getting bigger. That means he's getting older. That means that in the blink of an eye he's going to have a whole mouth full of those little white things. And while it's wonderful and fabulous and exciting, it also just reminds me that my baby isn't always going to be a baby. I savor every moment with him.
Today I stayed home with the little one. We were up all night last night and you can just look at the poor guy and tell he doesn't feel well. Another trip to the pediatrician told us that he has a cold that developed into an ear infection. My poor baby. However, since his 6 month appointment last Wednesday he's gained ten ounces! The big lug.
Here are a couple of pictures. Because I know you can't get enough. And I know that's the only reason you even get on the blog (ahem, Cheri). But hey, I'll take it.
Check out the open mouth. Glad there are no flies around.
This was taken before going in to see the doc. Poor guy didn't know that in just a few short moments he would be having a huge piece of wax removed from his ear. How do you like that mental image? That's what you get for just coming on to see pictures of Coop! You know what they say about paybacks.
